Our 2026 competition will be held March 21st at University of Tampa, Tampa, Florida

Please note: Chaperones MUST ensure that their students are always supervised within the University of Tampa buildings and campus.
The tentative schedule for March 21st is:
7:30 AM – 8:30 AM: Registration in GHS. Remember the Registration fee is $10 per student attending (checks should be made out to Florida Junior Academy of Sciences). Let me know ASAP if you require an invoice.
All of the rooms should be open, and your presentations could be loaded onto the PC computers in the rooms to allow presentations to reduce the time between speakers. There should also be staff on hand to assist with the technology.
Poster Session: Students should set up their posters by 8:15 am. Poster session will be on the ninth (9th) floor of the Vaughn Center.
Enter the elevators on the right; the ones on the left go to dorm rooms and will not go to the 9th floor.

8:45 – 9:00 AM: Welcome in the Reeves Theater on the 2nd Floor of the Vaughn Center
9:15 AM – 1:30 PM: Concurrent Speaker Sessions in the GHS and Tech building. Students should remain in their room the entire session while adults can courteously visit other rooms during breaks. Please be courteous to ALL presenters.

Family members and teachers are welcome to observe the presentations in the rooms. Moderators are needed for each of the 7 (3HS and 4MS) sessions. If you would like to preregister for this function, please note this on the registration spreadsheet. High school students, parents, and teachers can perform these functions as long as they have a time piece (watch or phone).
Snacks will be set up by the presidential chapters in the lobby of GHS for the mid-morning break
11 – 3:30 PM: Lunch in the dining hall is from 11-3:30 and is $14.35/person. They take cards and cash.
3:30 PM – 4:30 PM: Business meeting immediately followed by the Awards Ceremony in the Reeves Theater on the 2nd Floor of the Vaughn Center
During the Awards ceremony we will award plaques and certificates for outstanding presentations as determined by the judges.
*Your registration gives consent for any such photographs/video to be used for advertising and publicity purposes by FJAS, its licensees, and/or member organizations, and you waive all claims for any compensation for such use or for damages.
